About the therapist
My name is Antea Stojiljković, and I am a psychologist and psychotherapist. I obtained both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Psychology from the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade, and I completed my education in REBT & CBT psychotherapy at the Serbian Center for RE & CBT. In addition, I have completed training in Mindfulness, as well as numerous additional trainings and workshops focused on working with specific types of difficulties (personality disorders, anxiety-related problems, depressive states, etc.), and I am currently also in training to become a DBT psychotherapist. I am a member of the Serbian Psychological Society.
During my studies, I gained significant experience by volunteering as a psychologist at the association “HAJR,” where I provided first psychological aid and counseling services to victims of intimate partner and domestic violence. I also worked as an educator on the “Better Together” project organized by EFPSA, aimed at reducing discrimination. Furthermore, I completed training at the Crisis Center for Men titled “Education of Youth as a Method of Preventing Intimate Partner Violence,” during which my colleagues and I developed a mini-project for high school students on “toxic” relationships through interactive and experiential workshops. I completed my professional internship at the Institution for Adults and the Elderly “Leskovac,” where I worked with older adults and individuals in unfavorable socio-economic circumstances.
Although REBT and CBT form the theoretical foundation of my work, my approach is integrative and tailored to each client, meaning that I apply techniques and knowledge from different therapeutic modalities in accordance with the client’s individual needs. I consider trust, a supportive relationship, and a warm and empathetic atmosphere to be the basis of any high-quality and successful therapeutic collaboration, and I strive to build this with every client.
My goal is for the client, first with my active support and later independently, to move along the path of desired change and lead a higher-quality life. I facilitate this process through individual and couples psychotherapy, and I have the most experience working with issues such as feelings of hurt, guilt, and anger; anxiety states and disorders; depression; impulsive behaviors (such as trichotillomania and onychophagia); difficulties in romantic relationships; intrusive thoughts and OCD; procrastination; sleep problems; low self-confidence and self-esteem; as well as various practical challenges (such as indecisiveness, underdeveloped social skills, and assertiveness).
